Save the Date: January 8, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Lake Rockport Estates Water Committee is proud to present a night of learning about water for our community. Lake Rockport Estates Community members are invited to a water educational meeting on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mountain Regional Water Special Service District located at 5793 Paintbrush Road in Park City, Utah.
The meeting will feature guests Andy Garland, Mountain Regional Water Supply Special Districts and Nathan Lundstad, State of Utah Division of Drinking Water. They will be there to answer any questions and educate on dynamics related to their daily work.
The committee will cover topics including the community’s water history, our recommended preference for Mountain Regional as the water provider, why we feel wells are not a viable option, and funding options for water service.
We hope you can make it. If you cannot physically attend the meeting, a virtual option will be available. If January 8th is not an option, the meeting will be recorded and posted to our website so you can watch later!
More information will be sent soon so watch your email.

Residents,
Please be advised that the Lake Rockport Estates (LRE) water system is scheduled to be shut down on Monday, December 15 (2025). All residents should fill water storage tanks as soon as possible in preparation for this shutdown.
Please note that this date may move earlier if additional water line breaks occur before then. For this reason, the Board strongly recommends not delaying your winter water top-off.
As a reminder, LRE no longer offers a winter water program. Any water needs during the winter months will need to be sourced independently.
At this time, it is anticipated that the water system will be restored sometime in May 2026 (exact date to be determined and weather dependent).
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Sincerely,
Lake Rockport Estates POA Board of Trustees

Dear LRE members,
We hope you enjoyed your summer season and likely notice the shift in morning
temperatures. This means it is time to prepare for the transition to winter which can
happen very quickly. Below are some reminders for winter preparation.
We have rules that will be enforced strictly. Parked trailers, vehicles (shed area) and
winter weight restrictions will be enforced and subject to special assessment fees.
Winter preparation for cold temperatures and snow clearance recommendations:
- Prepare for winter weight road restrictions. Make sure all wood, pellets, and heavy deliveries are made before the winter weight restriction period.
- Trailers, RVs, Pull Behinds are to be off the mountain by October 1st. No exceptions.
- Vehicles parked for more than 3 days at the shed parking will be towed at the owner’s expense. This is private parking for LRE members only.
- If you haven’t topped off your propane, please do so soon.
- Reminder to make sure your water storage tanks are full and appropriate heat tape applied if needed.
- Secure heat tape and cover your backflow preventers. Remember to plug them in after the first signs of frost.
- Install reflective markers for backflow preventers and driveway entrances.
- Consider adding a heat source to north facing slopes on rooftops to avoid damage in the early spring.
- Make sure your plowing equipment is set at the appropriate heights to ensure a snow layer is left on roadways.
- If you plan to voluntarily plow any roadway within LRE, please submit the appropriate form as noted on our website.
- If you plan to hire a snowplow driver, clear obstacles that could damage a snowplow.
- Studded tires/chains/cables/socks are recommended for icy conditions. Non-studded winter tires do not perform well on ice.

Enjoy the fall and winter seasons!
